Clinical Trials at the Tumor Biology Center Freiburg
ProQinase and the Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) of the Department of Medical Oncology of the TBCF are located in the same building. The CTU performs preferentially phase I and II clinical trials. The structure of the CTU is optimized to meet requirements of early clinical trials, having at the same time a fast and efficient recruiting system. The unit has experienced health personnel, which is substantial for optimal performance of clinical trials, and a pharmacologist is taking care of study protocol design and the correspondence with the ethical board. The local diagnostic unit provides endoscopy, x-ray and ultrasound examination. Additional diagnostic features are available in the University Hospital Freiburg across the street.
