Protein Kinase Database
The below table has been generated by ProQinase and is intended to provide a kinase database which is based on the complete list of the human kinome as published by Manning et al. in 2002 (see below). The table shows a comprehensive compilation of aliases for each kinase and ProQinase´s kinase panel for selling and in vitro kinase assay services.
- Name according to Manning et al: Key publication summarizing the human kinome;
"The protein kinase complement of the human genome", Science. 2002 Dec 6; 298(5600):1912-34. Name in red: Predicted inactive kinase
- HGNC name: Gene symbols approved by the HUGO Gene
Nomenclature Committee (HGNC) which can be found at http://www.genenames.org
- Synonyms: Other common names used for a kinase (n/a: not available); a further useful link to find aliases: http://www.genecards.org
- GenBank RefSeq: Accession number for GenBank® entry (GenBank® is the NIH genetic sequence database, an annotated collection of all publicly available DNA sequences: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Genbank
