Cellular Assay Services 

ProQinase offers services with three different types of cellular assays to characterize compounds on the cellular level. The first approach comprises cellular phosphorylation assays to assess the inhibitory effect of compounds on a special kinase in a cellular background. ProQinase´s panel of such cell-based phosphorylation assays currently consists of 15 test models for tyrosine kinases and 3 models for serine/threonine kinases. The second approach is a differential cytotoxicity assay performed with arrested and proliferating cells in parallel allowing identification of compounds interacting with the cell cycle. The third approach is a cellular angiogenesis assay based on spheroids of human endothelial cells. This assay can be used to evaluate the angiogenic or anti-angiogenic potential of compounds. The unique cellular angiogenesis model can be used for preselecting test compounds for further characterization in a related in vivo angiogenesis test system.

All types of cellular assays are suitable for screening of compound libraries and for IC₅₀ determination of lead compounds.
