Cellular Assay Services 

ProQinase offers two different types of services to characterize compounds on the cellular level. The first approach comprises cellular phosphorylation assays to assess the inhibitory effect of compounds on a special kinase in a cellular background. ProQinase's panel of such cell-based phosphorylation assays currently consists of 9 test models for tyrosine kinases and 3 models for seronine/threonine kinases. The second approach is a cell-based angiogenesis assay based on spheroids of human endothelial cells. This assay can be used to evaluate the angiogenic or anti-angiogenic potential of compounds. The unique cellular angiogenesis model can be used for preselecting test compounds for further characterization in a related in vivo angiogenesis test system.

Both types of cellular assays are suitable for screening of compound libraries of IC₅₀ determination of lead compounds.
